Adaptive calorie targets

How Gorivo reviews your weight trend, explains changes and keeps you in control.

Choose your goal and pace

Set your weight goal and preferred weekly pace in your nutrition settings. Adaptive calorie targets can review progress towards supported weight-loss and weight-gain goals. You can change your targets yourself; a later review starts from the targets you are using.

Give the review a useful record

Log your meals consistently and record your weight. A review can happen when you add a current weigh-in after at least two weeks. Weekly weigh-ins can be used; daily weigh-ins are not required. Gorivo needs suitable weight records across the period and sufficiently consistent meal logging close to your targets before applying an adjustment.

An incomplete diary cannot show everything you ate. If there is not enough suitable information, your targets stay as they are. The review is tied to your own records, rather than a fixed day for everybody.

See what changed

Gorivo shows the previous and new targets with a short explanation. Depending on your goal and pace, targets may rise, fall or stay the same. Faster weight loss does not automatically lead to another reduction.

A target change applies from that day onward. It does not rewrite the goals used for earlier days in your nutrition insights.

Keep control

Open Fuel settings → Adaptive calorie targets to turn reviews off. You can continue logging food and weight with your chosen targets.

Weight varies for many reasons, and these reviews are planning aids rather than medical advice. If a target or change does not suit your circumstances, adjust it and seek qualified advice when appropriate.
