Plan the same dinner, log your own portion

A shared planner can simplify shopping without assuming everyone eats the same amount.

Agree the planning window

Start with the meals you are sharing and the week they belong to. If one person plans from Saturday dinner and another thinks in Monday-to-Sunday weeks, check the dates before adding meals.

Make the serving count clear

A recipe for two people and a recipe that makes four portions have different shopping requirements. Decide whether extra portions are intended for lunch, the freezer or another person.

When quantities change, update the plan before building the shopping list. A title alone does not tell the other person whether you intend to cook one serving or six.

Keep personal records personal

Sharing a planner does not mean sharing body measurements or automatically posting meals to the feed. Record your own portion in the food diary; use the planner to agree what you are cooking.

Handle changes in the shared place

If you change dinner, edit the planned meal so the other person can see the new plan. Use the collaboration controls to check who has access. If someone leaves the arrangement, review that access rather than relying on an old message thread.

Gorivo’s collaboration invite lets the recipient confirm whose planner they are joining. Review the invite and the relevant dates before accepting.
